Prior cosmetic tattoo treatment
Don't drink the night before, your pain threshold will be low if you are hungover. It’s not fun having your brows tattooed with a pounding headache, alcohol also thins the blood and can create bleeding.
If you are getting your lips done and are prone to cold sores you will need to take a cold sore preventive tablet the day of treatment or afterwards.
Try not to take fish oil for a few days prior as it thins your blood which can tend to push out the pigment and create bleeding.
Take a Panadol prior to coming if you are concerned about pain, numbing prior and during your treatment should create a pain free experience
You don't need to wear makeup to your appointment, as most of it will be removed during your treatment.
If your brow hair is tidy then it gives the Cosmetic Tattoo Artist more time to focus on your tattoo. A good artist will give you a great shape regardless.
Relax! It's not actually as scary as you might think. most people fall asleep during the procedure.
During cosmetic tattoo treatment
Numbing cream is used before hand and during to ensure any pain is as minimal as possible, most clients don’t feel anything but remember this is a tattoo and areas can be sensitive depending on the individuals pain tolerance!.
During your treatment especially lips and eyeliner you may experience swollen lips and eyelids! but don’t worry as swelling will go down afterwards, ice will be your best friend!.
Cooperate with the artist and stay still, vocalise any changes or alterations before your treatment is finished.
After cosmetic tattoo treatment
Your cosmetic tattoo will be very bright and pigmented the first couple of days, don’t freak out!.
On around the third day of the treated area it will fade and flake off slightly, revealing your gorgeous colour underneath, this may look super light and will gradually brighten up during the ongoing healing process.
Chlorine, saunas steam room, spas, pools is a big NO NO for the following week after treatment as it will alter the colour of your cosmetic tattoo.
Avoid excess sweating, the gym and direct uv exposure until your cosmetic tattoo has healed, light workouts are acceptable.
DO NOT PICK, don’t pick and fiddle with your cosmetic tattoo, let it heal naturally, apply the given cream twice daily.
TOUCH UPS ARE A MUST, you really do need a touch up especially with lips to add any alterations, colour changes ect, pigment needs to be put back into the skin to ensure it lasts as long as possible.
